Record: the historic National League that had 2 coaches in 15 games

Atenas de Córdoba, a historic club that won nine National League championships, is going through a very weak present in the highest category.

He won a game out of 15 played and this afternoon the resignation of his second coach was announced in that period of comparisons.

Sebastián González, from Córdoba, left the green cast after not being able to change the team’s course after seven games in which he did not add victories.

The trigger was the defeat suffered last night against Argentino de Junín by 86 to 74 at the Carlos Cerutti sports center, where the local team could never win in nine matches.

The conduction was in charge of Elian Villafañe (main DT) and Nicolás Arduh (assistant).

The crisis of the Greek club, managed by the Lábaque family and with special interference from Bruno, had already claimed the cut of the designated coach at the beginning of the 2022-23 campaign, Claudio Arrigoni, also from Cordoba (a win in eight games).

Arrigoni is the brother of “La Pepa”, who was also the DT of the Greek and previously technical assistant to Daniel “Zeta” Rodríguez from Cordoba in Estudiantes in our city (campaigns 1996 to 2000).

With Sebastián González it was thought that a change of mentality could take place, since the DT had directed the team in the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.

On the other hand, Athens was the rival that sent Bahía Basket to relegation, in a 2021 season in which the dispute over the permanent series had been in doubt until the last moment.

Athens has Alejandro Konsztadt (guard), Maximiliano Stanic (guard), Máximo Araujo (guard), Federico Mariani (guard), Omar Cantón (center); in addition to foreigners Dominique Morrison (center – United States), Deion McClenton (center – United States), Guillermo Díaz (guard – Puerto Rico) and Fabián Jaimes (center wing – Mexico).
