Prof’s thanks to Anas and traffic police for the computer found

“I want to publicly thank the Anas technician Dimetrio Presto who found my computer and the Traffic Police for then returning it to me. I had lost it by mistake on the road where it had fallen from the roof. It was very important for me to have it back, since I have saved in the laptop a series of valuable data concerning my work as a teacher”. The thank you bears the signature of Maria Cristina Nuti, a resident of Mandello and a teacher of literature in a high school in Lecco. The professor lost her PC near the entrance to the crossing, along State Road 36. It could have been shattered if it fell to the ground, but it remained intact, with only a few dents. A roadman from Anas passed by and she noticed it and immediately removed it from the asphalt, handing it over to the Stradale di Bellano who then proceeded to contact the teacher.

“The other day at 2 pm, as soon as I left the last hour of class, I reached my car in the school parking lot – Maria Cristina Nuti says – to open the door, being a somewhat old and non-automated car, I placed the computer on the roof of the car to arrange the books on the seat first. I turned to greet a colleague. The exchange of words lasted a few minutes and then, absent-mindedly, I forgot to take my PC”. The teacher then left for home and on the way, shortly after departure, the PC fell to the ground.

“When I got home I couldn’t find it and I started looking for it everywhere, then I contacted my colleagues and the school, asking to spread the word to find out if anyone had seen it – continues Maria Cristina Nuti – Then, after a couple of ‘ hours, the call from the Bellano Traffic Police arrived: the agent told me that the computer had been found and was working. Although I was sorry for the mistake, I was very happy. I therefore want to thank the Anas technician Dimetrio Presto who saw and recovered the landed my laptop, it was not easy to notice. I turned it on and, apart from a few dings, it worked fine. The data was safe and back in my possession, the most important thing”.

A similar episode had occurred last March: in that case the well-known journalist Nicola Porro had lost his cell phone along State Road 36 after leaving it on the roof of his car by mistake. An Anas team had found and returned the smartphone to Porro who had launched an appeal in his famous “Soup” in the hope that someone would recover it. Overjoyed at the discovery of the intact mobile phone, the Rete4 journalist had reached Bellano in person to thank the technicians of the road agency and recover it.
