Pelicans and Jazz remain on playoff course in the NBA – dpa

Dhe New Orleans Pelicans and Utah Jazz remain in the middle of the close race for the Western Conference playoff spots in the North American professional basketball league NBA.

Both teams clinched their 19th win of the season. While the Pelicans (19:12) are third, the Jazz (19:16) are seventh. The Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies lead (both 19:11).

The Pelicans defeated the San Antonio Spurs 126-117 without their two offensive stars Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram. CJ McCollum stood out with 40 points and a personal best of the season. In addition, the 31-year-old guard contributed nine assists, eight rebounds and two blocks to the success.

The Utah Jazz defeated the Washington Wizards 120-112 thanks to a balanced team effort. The Wizards have now lost 11 of their last 12 games.
