Lights and shadows for the two Asturian teams in the Women’s Super League 2. Volleyball Oviedo was defeated by Extremadura Arroyo, while Grupo Covadonga defeated Torrelavega.
Nothing could be done by Volleyball Oviedo to stop the current leader of the category. The Oviedo team lost 0-3 to Extremadura Arroyo. The carbayonas tightened in the second and third sets, but the superiority of the Extremadurans was too much for them.
The Covadonga Group, for its part, prevailed by a tight 3-2 against Torrelavega in a very competitive match and with constant alternatives on the scoreboard and that ended up opting for the group side in a fifth set that could go either way and that allows the women from Gijón to add two new points.
In the ranks of the group, Marina Blanco and Ana Martín stood out, with 20 and 19 points respectively.
