Three years after his last game as a professional, Omar Pérez will officially end his career as a soccer player, in a farewell match that will take place this Saturday, December 10 at the El Campín stadium.

It was precisely in Bogotá where the Argentine ’10’ had the best moments of his career, as he won 7 local and 2 international titles with Independiente Santa Fe; Thus, the cardinal fans, who have Omar as their idol, are expected to massively accompany the stadium, to bid farewell to ‘Chipakero’ at his last game.

Omar’s night was dubbed ‘El Último Tango’, and will be attended by several former soccer players who shared a team with Pérez, who in addition to Santa Fe played for Junior, Real Cartagena, Independiente Medellín and Patriotas, in Colombian soccer.

Omar’s farewell will be divided into three periods of 30 minutes, in which Omar, in addition to wearing a shirt with the colors of Santa Fe, will also wear garments that symbolize Atlético Güemes (the team he was formed in his native Santiago del Estero) and Boca Juniors (team in which he became a professional).

Omar sent some 70 invitations to players who went through Colombian and Argentine soccer; however, due to the date and commitments, some will not be able to be there.

Among the prominent figures who will accompany Pérez are Giovanni Hernández, Macnelly Torres, Germán Centurión, Diego Aroldo Cabrera, Yulián Anchico, Sergio Otálvaro, Juan Daniel Roa and Robinson ‘Rufay’ Zapata.

He will also be accompanied by Martín Arzuaga, Léider Preciado, Luis Carlos Arias and goalkeeper Vanessa Córdoba.
