NHL: Draisaitl loses – Ovechkin second-best scorer in history

The German ice hockey professional Leon Draisaitl goes into the Christmas break with a defeat NHL. Germany’s athlete of the year 2020 cashed in the North American professional league with the Edmonton Oilers at home a 2:5 (2:0, 0:2, 0:3) against them Vancouver Canucks.

Alex Ovechkin passes Gordie Howe

Alex Ovechkin is now the second leading scorer in NHL history. The Russian striker scored in his 4-1 (1-0, 1-0, 2-1) home win Washington Capitals against the Winnipeg Jets twice and has scored a total of 802 goals in his career. The 37-year-old ousted Gordie Howe (801 goals), followed by Canada’s ice hockey legend Wayne Gretzky with 894 goals. For almost 31 years, Gretzky and Howe held first and second place in this ranking.

The games of Ottawa Senators with Tim Stützle against them Detroit Red Wings with Moritz Seider and the Buffalo Sabres with JJ Peterka against the Tampa Bay Lightning were canceled by the league because of the winter storm hitting the US.
