Morata Ready to Deliver World Cup Golden Boot to Mbappe’s House, As long as…

Alvaro Morata is one of the names competing for the top scorer title at the 2022 World Cup. But for the Spanish striker, becoming world champion at the end of the tournament remains the top priority.

So far, Morata has scored three goals against three different teams. That number is the same as Lionel Messi (Argentina), Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka (England), Olivier Giroud (France), Cody Gakpo (Netherlands), and Enner Valencia (Ecuador).

Morata is only behind Kylian Mbappe, who has scored five goals, even that because Mbappe scored two goals in the France vs Poland match. Morata can catch up to Mbappe’s score if he nets against Morocco in the round of 16.

Morata admitted that he was happy to see himself on equal footing with goal machines like Messi and Mbappe. But for him, there is another happiness that is more important, namely the interests of the team. What is the meaning of individual trophies if Spain failed to win two stars (champions).

“I appreciate it, but that’s more because I’m happy to score goals for the national team and manage to help the team. I still want us to be world champions even if I don’t play anymore after this,” Morata told Diario AS.

“If someone says that I have to go home but after that Spain won the World Cup, then I will go straight home and they have to give the trophy to Spain.”

If Spain wins the world championship, Morata is willing to give the top scorer title to other players, including Mbappe. He was even willing to take her to the Les Bleus bomber’s house in Paris.

“I will deliver the golden shoes (trophy for top scorer) by bicycle to France from Spain to become world champion!” joked the 30 year old player.

The Morocco vs Spain duel will take place at Education City Stadium, Al Rayyan, Tuesday (6/12) at 02.00 WIB. Can Morata score again in this match? Let’s look forward to it.
