Missing: Helicopter and 100 officials are looking for the father of the second division professional Sports

The search for the father of second division professional Kai Brünker (28) is becoming more and more desperate. A hundred officers were on duty on Wednesday – and still no new lead! The Magdeburg striker continues to worry about his father Dirk (61), who has been missing in Villingen in the Black Forest since December 23.

On Wednesday, the police launched another large-scale search operation. 100 police officers, including officers from the riot police and the police helicopter squadron, were deployed. The police search helicopter was already on its way over Villingen for the third time at 10 a.m.

Press spokesman Jörg Kluge from the police headquarters in Constance told BILD: “The Brigach was flown over again and a thermal imaging camera was used to search for signs of life from the missing person as far as Donaueschingen. But unfortunately without success. There are no new findings.” Donaueschingen is around 15 kilometers from Villingen.

Originally, the deployment of police divers was planned for December 28th, which should be deployed in the area of the fishing lakes in front of Marbach. However, this did not happen because they had to be used elsewhere.

Otherwise, according to Kluge, the officers’ search focused on the route from the Gasthaus Ott, where Brünker’s father was last seen, to his home address on Niederwiesenstrasse and both banks of the Brigach River. Backyards and side streets within the city center were also checked.

Since the investigators could not find anything, the search should continue on Friday with fewer forces.

Police spokesman Kluge: “We are primarily assuming it was an accident. But we are still investigating in all directions. We don’t rule anything out.”

The 1. FC Magdeburg professional and his family are not giving up hope. Among other things, a search success from the Freiburg Schauinsland is encouraging. A person who had been missing for five days and had found shelter in a burrow has just been found alive there. Kai Brünker isn’t the only one hoping for a similar, belated Christmas miracle…

He expressly thanks the Instagram story: “My family and I are overwhelmed by my father’s sympathy and constant search. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It’s amazing what a huge area we’ve already searched.”

The FCM professional also has a tip for his followers: “In times like these, there is nothing more important than family. Appreciate this and always enjoy the time with your loved ones.”
