Total madness. Donostia wears white and blue this Sunday, but not to cheer on Real, but rather on the Argentina team. Hundreds of soccer and albiceleste fans have packed the bars and corners of the city to cheer on the South American team in the World Cup final in Qatar that they will play this Sunday against France.

The possibility of seeing Leo Messi and Argentina lift the World Cup has been an attraction for many, and that is that the Argentine venues in the city have filled up to follow the game. Accessing the interior has become an impossible task and seeing it from the outside has not been easy either. There have been even those who, given the impossibility of accessing the interior of the establishments, have given up.

The festive day started several hours before the ball got going. They started out not being many, but they made themselves noticed. Several dozen fans of the Argentine team have gathered in San Sebastián this afternoon to warm up their engines.

Dressed in the albiceleste, to the rhythm of batucada and with flags in the wind, the Argentine fans living in Gipuzkoa have conspired on the San Sebastian pier to see, “this time yes”, Leo Messi lifting the World Cup.

Between music and songs, the fans headed towards the Gros neighborhood on a morning when excitement and nervousness were mixed in equal parts. As they have done throughout the World Cup, the albiceleste fans will gather at the ‘Tendido Cinco’ bar to follow the final live.
