Judo: a Couserannais qualified for the French university championship

Very recently, Rémi Dos Santos took part in the inter-academic university championship of Judo. The judoka from the Dojo du Couserans fought in the category of less than sixty kilos, a category which traditionally offers spectacular confrontations. After a few weeks of convalescence due to a shoulder injury, Rémi proved that he was back in great shape: he eliminated all his opponents by ippon (victory before the end of regulation time). A specialist in shoulder movements, he managed to win first place in the ranking.

This result opens the doors to the French university championship, which will be contested next spring. Two days after this meeting, the Couseran champion returned to battle, entering the national junior label A tournament in Cahors, where he won the bronze medal.

Rémi Dos Santos is one of the elite judokas of the Occitanie region, he has also been a member of the France pole in Bordeaux for two years. With behind him, to support him in his ambitions, the whole big family of the Dojo du Couserans.
