Jokowi’s Happy Expression When Watching Indonesia Vs Thailand at GBK

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) watched the Indonesia vs Thailand AFF Cup match at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta. Jokowi joined in the celebration when the Indonesian national team scored a goal.

Based on the photos shared by presidential photographer Agus Suparto, Thursday (29/12/2022), Jokowi watched with First Lady Iriana Jokowi. Jokowi wore a red jacket with a white color, while Iriana wore a navy blue suit.

Also present accompanying Jokowi were Menpora Zainudin Amali, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, to PSSI Chairman M Iriawan or Iwan Bule.

In one of the photos, Jokowi appears to be standing and looking like he is screaming. Another photo also shows Jokowi’s moment of joy while watching the match.

There is also a photo showing Jokowi standing holding up two hands. In addition, Jokowi also greeted the supporters who were present at GBK.

As reported detikSport, Indonesia was held to a 1-1 draw by Thailand, who played with 10 players. Winning first through Marc Klok’s penalty, Team Garuda failed to win due to Sarach Yooyen’s goal.

Indonesia vs Thailand in the 2022 AFF Cup Group A match took place at the Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta. Thailand had more control of the ball throughout the game.

Indonesia relied on swift attacks and managed to deploy several threats. However, poor finishing made Indonesia fail to score in the first half.

One of them, Witan Sulaeman wasted a golden opportunity. He failed to score even though the War Elephant goal was empty. Score 0-0 closed the first half.

Indonesia opened the scoring in the 49th minute through Marc Klok’s penalty kick. Thailand then had to be down to 10 men after Sanrawat Dechmitr received a red card in the 63rd minute.

Losing one player, Thailand was actually able to equalize in the 80th minute through Sarach Yooyen. A 1-1 draw ended the 90 minutes.

This result makes Thailand still at the top of Group A standings with seven points. Their points are the same as Indonesia in second place, but superior on goal difference.
