Blaise Matuidi, who was part of the French team that won the 2018 World Cup, says goodbye to football at the age of 35

Blaise Matuidi announced this Friday on social networks the end of his career, at the age of 35. The midfielder, who became world champion for the French national team in 2018, represented Inter Miami, from MLS, United States League, since 2020. “Football, I loved you so much. Football, you gave me so much, but the time has come to say stop. I fulfilled my dreams as a child, my dreams as a man. It is with a tight throat, but with pride that I turn this page today. Thank you”, wrote the former Gallic international on Twitter. Formed at Créteil-Lusitanos, Matuidi also had spells at Troyes, Saint-Étienne, PSG and Juventus, in addition to the aforementioned North American club.
