For the first of its new coach Hugues Occansey, La Charité basket bows after having jostled the leader Lons-le-Saunier

Hugues Occansey did not work miracles. Beaten by Lons-le-Saunier (76-89), Saturday, December 3, La Charité conceded a fifth consecutive defeat, the third in a row in its Georges-Picq gymnasium. And already the ninth after eleven days of NM2.

Only three days after leading his first training session, the new Charitois coach was able to stand up to the Jura leader, confident at the break (40-51), then worried at the start of the last quarter (71-72, 33rd ‘), but ultimately won for the ninth time this season.

Led by his band of ex-Charitois (Fabien Anthonioz in coaching, Juwan Howard, Joris Bado and Marc Kwedi), Lons-le-Saunier was only led at the start of the game, after a Charitois free throw opening the counter points. Less in management than she would have liked, the ALL got scared.

Offensive Fluidity

Because La Charité, although defeated, showed an attractive face, especially on the offensive level. It is in this sector that Hugues Occansey had promised to work (five collective sessions between his arrival and the meeting) to restore confidence and drive to a sick team.

For the second meeting of the former French international, La Charité will go to Joeuf-Jomécourt, Saturday December 10 (8 p.m.), in order to stem a negative spiral that began without him but which Hugues Occansey would like not to prolong further against a contender in the maintenance race.

RecruitLa Charité has signed Cobie Holman, a Franco-American who can play in the lead or at the back. Rather in search of an interior, in vain, the Charitois club chose to strengthen its outdoor sector with this 23-year-old player (1.93 m). Qualified in extremis, and entered at the end of the third quarter, Holman played his first minutes. Without scoring, even if he had the 3-point shot in the corner to go ahead at 71-72 (33′).
