“Fantasy Football”: good options on waivers

Even though several teams no longer appear in the NFL playoff picture, some players want to impress in order to get some valuable playing time.

For the poolers, it always pays to select athletes who could do well on waivers. Here are seven to target ahead of Week 14 in the NFL.

Chuba Hubbard (available in 80% of Yahoo! leagues)

The Carolina Panthers will be well rested to face the Seattle Seahawks, having enjoyed a week off. Is Canadian running back Chuba Hubbard on track to return to his 2021 form? In his most recent game, he rushed 17 times for 65 yards, two career bests this season.

Greg Dulcich (available in 62% of Yahoo! leagues)

In a game where the offense didn’t dictate the pace, the Denver Broncos were defeated 10-9 by the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. For a rare time this season, freshman Greg Dulcich has been Russell Wilson’s favorite target. With 85 yards on six receptions, he could be one to watch this week.

Daniel Bellinger (available in 98% of Yahoo! leagues)

Without a win in their last three games, the New York Giants have to try things. Daniel Bellinger, who returned last week after treating a fractured face, could be part of the solution. The tight winger knows how to be available and rarely drops his balloons. With the injuries in New York, he could be a great option.

Mac Jones (available in 86% of Yahoo! leagues)

Facing the third-worst defense in the NFL, New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones could wreak havoc. By facing the Arizona Cardinals, he will be able to release the frustration of the last few weeks. On November 24, Jones had thrown two touchdown passes and racked up 382 yards in a losing cause.

Tyler Huntley (available in 99% of Yahoo! leagues)

Another interesting quarterback this week, Tyler Huntley was pushed into the Ravens’ No. 1 chair after the injury to Lamar Jackson, whose condition will be reassessed weekly. Huntley completed 27 of 32 passes against the Broncos, but he didn’t reach anyone in the penalty area and was the victim of an interception. All that’s missing is the spark.

Cam Akers (available in 55% of Yahoo! leagues)

The Los Angeles Rams have been losing lately, but Cam Akers seems to want to turn things around. In his last game, the running back scored two rushing touchdowns. He will have to confirm to the Las Vegas Raiders that it was not a one-time deal.

Nico Collins (available in 71% of Yahoo! leagues)

Nico Collins crossed the end zone with the ball once for the Houston Texans in their last game. The team isn’t doing too well, as their 1-10-1 record shows, but the wide receiver has the potential to do better than his 35 yards in Week 13. Of course, the quarterback will have to Kyle Allen wants to collaborate.
