Extorts money from family members to buy drugs, arrested by the State Police

The State Police of Caserta arrested a 37-year-old person, as he was held responsible for the crimes of attempted extortion, injury and resistance to a Public Official.

In particular, the policemen of the Territorial Control Office of the PS Aversa Commissariat intervened in Succivo for a report of a dispute in the family. Once on the spot, as soon as they entered the house, they noticed the presence of a young man intent on turning the whole house upside down and, at the same time, trying to hit a person with a baseball bat, later identified as the attacker’s brother.

At the sight of the crew of the steering wheel, the same tried to get out by trying to escape identification, but was blocked by the operators, also to prevent a new attack against the other family members present, who continued to threaten despite the presence of the policemen.

The operators managed to contain the state of agitation of the subject, who kicked and punched the policemen, so that he then had to seek medical attention.

From the immediate statements acquired by the relatives it emerged that the person used to implement these forms of violence in order to force the relatives to hand over sums of money necessary for the purchase of drugs.

At the conclusion of the investigative activity and after the formal denunciation of the family members, the subject was arrested and associated with the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
