Doncic more and more in NBA history – RSI Swiss Radio and Television

Luka Doncic continues to break records. In the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, the Slovenian guard from Dallas, in addition to having dragged his team to victory, managed a feat that hadn’t happened in 54 years: signing a triple double with at least 60 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists . The boy from Ljubljana is the first to make a similar play, after James Harden managed to make it 60-10-11. At the same time the 23-year-old also became the youngest, better than Elgin Baylor in 1961 at 27 years and Wilt Chamberlain (1963 and 1968, at 26 years and 176 days) to hit such a triple-double.

Just at Christmas Dallas had celebrated Dirk Nowitzki with a statue after a career spent with the Texans, who have now found the true heir of the German. In fact, Doncic with 60 points against the Knicks surpassed the former number 41 (53 for him) thus achieving the most points in a single game of the franchise. But probably not happy, the Balkan decided to give himself a career high in rebounds (21), closing the circle with 10 assists for his 52nd triple-double, getting ever closer to Larry Bird’s ninth position in the special ranking.
