Detroit outruns Dallas to take sixth win – OA Sport

Beautiful victory for Detroit in the regular season of the NBA 2022-2023. In the night just passed i Pistons amazed everyone and, despite the continued absence of Cade Cunningham, they beat Dallas 131-125 in overtime. Following this success Dwane Casey’s boys have reached six claims this season, while the Mavericks remained unchanged at ten.

The beginning of the game is full of balance and entertainment. In fact, both teams score continuously and after 12′ the score is 36 all. In the second period Dallas tries to extend (54-60), but the home team is careful and first manages to shorten and then closes the first half ahead by 1 (61-60).

The match remains decidedly balanced even at the beginning of the third period, then the Pistons change pace and, above all thanks to the triples by Bojan Bogdanovic, Saddiq Bey and Alec Burks, they also reach +12 (99-87). Dallas is not there and in a few minutes incredibly overturns the game with a wild Christian Wood (103-104), but immediately afterwards the home team resumes playing better up to +9 with 2’52” to go (115-106). So it seems all over, and instead the Mavericks don’t give up and with an incredible 11-2 run they manage to get the tie before the end of the fourth period (by Reggie Bullock the basket of 117 equal to 22″ from the end).

Thus we go to overtime and here Dallas immediately takes a small advantage (123-119). Detroit however has no intention of giving up and before rhe responds present with Jaden Ivey and then extends with the two triples by Killian Hayes (131-125). At this point the Mavericks no longer score and the match therefore ends with the surprise victory of the home team.

At the end of the match, the 30 points of Bojan Bogdanovic, the 22 points of Killian Hayes and 19 points and 13 rebounds Marvin Bagley III. On the other hand, Dallas’ 35 points and 10 assists were not enough Luka Doncic, the 26 points of Tim Hardaway Jr and the 25 of Christian Wood.
