Damian Lillard dreams of playing with this player…

True to the Blazers, Damian Lillard still dreams of bringing a title to Portland. Sometimes too alone, however, he would not refuse the help of another superstar to get there. And if he could choose from all the players in the league, it’s on Giannis Antetokounmpo that “Lady” would set her sights.

Invited by GQ to respond to Internet users, the leader preferred to put the cards on the table in front of the camera. Asked about the player he would choose to help him win a title, Lillard did not hesitate for a second. “I would choose Giannis”he immediately assured.

Later when faced with a fan’s comment about their potential pairing, the Blazers star didn’t hide his admiration for the Greek Freak:

“He’s a player who goes to the basket. He’s a good playmaker, a good defender, disruptive. The way he plays complements the way I play. I would bring something that complements what he does, and vice versa”says the leader.

The title for Portland? Damian Lillard sees a turning point in the NBA

This is not the first time that Damian Lillard has shown his desire to play with Giannis Antetokounmpo. In May, on Twitter, he had already responded in the same way to a similar question. A dream he apparently does not lose sight of.

In theory, a duo formed by these two players would shake the NBA. While one dominates near the circle, the other never ceases to shock the league with his shots from long range. In practice, the chances of them ending up on the same team are slim.

Their two XXL salaries would be a problem, of course. Above all, the two players seem to have the same values: they want to win with their team, not another. Models of loyalty, it would be hard to imagine them leaving their respective franchises. Lillard and Antetokounmpo will thus have to content themselves with sharing (again) the field in the All-Star Game.
