The Daegu Sports Association for the Disabled held the ‘2022 Yeonghonam Sports Exchange Exhibition’ in Gwangju on the 1st and 2nd.

A total of 80 athletes, including 35 from Daegu and 45 from Gwangju, participated in the exchange match in 3 events: indoor rowing, badminton, and table tennis.

The Yeonghonam Sports Exchange Exhibition started in Gwangju in 2014. In order to promote sports exchanges and friendship between Daegu and Gwangju, the venue is changed every year.

The exchange exhibition, which has been resumed for the first time in three years due to COVID-19, is expected to expand the arena of exchange in general culture beyond the transfer time sports exchange.

In particular, it was hoped that the Special Act on New Airports for the Disabled would be enacted as soon as possible through the Sports Exchange Exhibition for the Disabled, and that the sky road, railroad road, and water road would be opened together to become a more developed Yangyang city.

Hong Young-sook, secretary-general of the Daegu Sports Association for the Disabled, said, “I hope that through this Yeong-Ho-Nam Sports Exchange Exhibition, the base of sports for the disabled between the two cities will be expanded, as well as friendship and harmony will become stronger.”
