Chantepie. Good results at the National Judo Kata Tournament

« Our judo club took part in the national kata tournament which took place in Pacé. Our athletes had the pleasure of rubbing shoulders with members of the France team. The tournament ended with a very interesting course based on intergenerational exchange “, explains Katia Thomas, teacher.

The club provided a good representation of the fifty pairs involved in the tournament with very good results and qualifications for the French championship on March 18 in Reims. Maxime Collet and Mathys Gallien in under 23 finished first and are champions of Brittany. In seniors, Xavier Patinec and Mélanie Tribondeau finished third and Fred Ginguené and Pascal Gout finished first in Brittany. In 15-18 years, Aino Renard Descaves and Audren Gueneugues have reached the final stages and are champions of Brittany. In minimal, Theophile Arnoux and Zalimkhan Temirov finished in second place. “ A good omen for the minimal Brittany championship scheduled for February for their age category. » Zoe Lassale and Margot Etave, who took their first steps in this type of competition, placed fourth. “ It’s a great team with a lot of dynamism and mutual support and it’s very nice to see such good results.” concludes Katia Thomas.
