Although the weather was cold, the workers were doing their best to renovate the interior. According to Wang Jia, Secretary and Director of the Party Branch of the Second Workers’ Cultural Palace, the project officially started on December 20 last year to improve the quality of nearly 7,500 square meters. According to the renovation plan, the original activity building was changed into a staff training center, which is a 6-story main building and a partial 3-story building; the original theater was changed into a staff cultural center, which has functions such as badminton and air volleyball; As a cultural and sports center for employees, it will be built into a comprehensive venue integrating table tennis, dance, yoga and other sports and fitness programs to further meet the needs of various trade union events and employees’ daily physical exercise. “The entire project is progressing smoothly, and it is expected that the quality improvement will be completed by the end of this month.” Wang Jia said.
In addition, Changsha No. 1 Workers’ Cultural Palace, located in Dongtang, started demolition and new construction in the first half of this year. It is expected to break through positive and negative before the Spring Festival; The construction of the main body of the building was completed a few years ago; the fourth worker’s cultural palace, which focuses on employee sports, will complete the construction of the second floor above ground within this year.
