Borussia Mönchengladbach: These are Gladbach’s Christmas wishes! | Sports

Christmas is getting closer – and with it the time to fulfill your heart’s desires.

In Gladbach, too, those responsible have wishes. Which, however, cannot always be realized in the tough professional business…

THIS are Gladbach’s Christmas wishes!

How bold can you be? This swallow deserves RED

Summer Extension!

There is nothing you wish for at Borussia more than for Yann Sommer (34) to extend his contract with the foals and retire in Gladbach.

With 335 competitive games in a Foal jersey, Sommer is already the foreigner with the most appearances for Gladbach – ahead of Oscar Wendt (37) with 305 games for Borussia. Realistically, however, one has to fear a summer departure – the keeper has had a contract offer for months and has not yet signed it.

Sommer still dreams of titles. And if even clubs like FC Bayern are now digging on summer, it won’t be any easier for Gladbach to persuade the goalkeeper to stay.

Doucouré-Durchbruch!

After long weeks of rehab in the weight room, Mamadou Doucouré (24) is currently doing intensive running sessions at Borussia Park again. The Frenchman (who was last slowed down by a capsule injury in his knee) Thursday after the session to BILD: “I feel good again.”

Doucouré came to Borussia from Paris in 2016 as one of the greatest central defender talents in Europe. And then suffered countless injuries (including muscle tears, fiber tears, Achilles tendon tear). In his now more than six years in Gladbach, he has therefore only made two short appearances in the Bundesliga.

Gladbach’s sporting director Roland Virkus (56) has already announced that he will speak to Doucouré about his future at Borussia at the end of the season – everyone in Gladbach really hopes that the unlucky Doucouré will finally have made the breakthrough by then.
