Big injustice: “Killian Hayes is the worst basketball player in history”

If he has recovered after a very complicated start to the season, Killian Hayes has not yet escaped the occasional air gap. However, some unscrupulous fans do not hesitate to immediately pull out the slap box when it happens – proof being the last game against Miami. We understand better why Dwane Casey does not want the Frenchman to consult the networks…

Everything goes very quickly in the NBA, and Killian Hayes embodies this saying rather well. His start to the 2022-23 campaign had been abysmal, the point guard struggling to find his place in the second unit after being passed in the rotation by rookie Jaden Ivey. It had not pleased the fans at all, who expected much more from him… However, there had been better for several games, to the point where he had brought the US public to his feet with a sequence of very solid perfs.

Unsurprisingly, his performances are therefore all closely followed, in particular by the public of MoTown. The one he delivered against the Heat was no exception to the rule, Dwyane Casey’s men surprising Jimmy Butler & co by pocketing an away victory. But Hayes didn’t really shine, with 6 points and 6 assists at 2/8 shooting… Not on his plate, he was benched throughout the last quarter.

Killian Hayes mediocre against the Heat, Internet users let go for no reason

As a result, Internet users did not fail to scratch him after the final whistle, with comments as acerbic as they were unjustified given his form at the time:

Killian Hayes may be the worst basketball player of all time

Killian Hayes is the worst player in Pistons history.

Notice how when Casey replaces Killian Hayes with Cory Joseph or Alec Burks we play our best basketball? Please Casey wake up, Alec Burks is the starter, it’s very easy to understand.

The verdict of these tweets is obviously terrible for the Frenchman, who nevertheless shows himself to be generally to his advantage while the star Cade Cunningham is still convalescing. Let’s just hope he can resume his march forward as soon as possible, without worrying about this famous culture of the moment that poisons the NBA.

Second to last in the East, the Pistons have a busy schedule ahead of them with upcoming matchups against the Pelicans, Grizzlies and Lakers. The challenge is therefore real for Killian Hayes, but it is also the perfect opportunity to get back in the saddle and resume his good march forward. Michigan fans are waiting for this.
