Barça and Madrid boycott Tebas at the League assembly in Dubai

Barça is angry with the League and its increasingly demanding and “restrictive”, as president Joan Laporta described them, rules on salary fair play, which make it difficult to rebuild the Blaugrana sports project. From words to deeds. And Barça, as revealed in an official statement, will not go to the League meeting that will be held in Dubai.

Madrid, united with Barça in its project to promote the European Super League against the opinion of Javier Tebas, president of the employers’ association, will not attend this extraordinary meeting of the 42 clubs of the First and Second Division scheduled for December 7 . They plant and boycott both clubs, linked by a common strategy.

The Blaugrana club informed the League last November 25 that it will not attend the summit in Dubai, called “as a matter of urgency”, as reported by Barça itself. An urgency that he does not share because they will deal with “very relevant matters relating to the modification of the Statutes and the general regulations of the League” which require, according to Laporta’s directive, “a greater prior debate and a more extensive and participative analysis”. In addition, Barça maintains that “it does not consider this trip to Dubai appropriate for an event that could be held at the headquarters of the League”, arguments that have also been defended by Real Madrid.
