Banchero and the Magic beat Clippers in overtime

Rookie Paolo Banchero scored 10 of his 23 points in overtime and the Orlando Magic snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 116-111 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.

Banchero, the No. 1 pick in this past draft, made all six of his free throws in the final seven seconds of overtime to help the Magic come back from a 111-110 deficit.

Terance Mann started as a substitute to lead the Clippers with 19 points. Nicolas Batum scored 16 points and center Ivica Zubac had 16 points and 13 rebounds before fouling out in overtime.

Paul George and Kawhi Leonard added 17 points in the first quarter and the Clippers hit all five of their 3-pointers in the first seven minutes to lead 23-6. The Magic made just 4 of 18 from the field and turned over seven turnovers in the first quarter to finish the quarter trailing 32-14.
