Baker Mayfield joins the Rams to replace Matthew Stafford

El quarterback Baker Mayfield requested the Carolina Panthers end your employment relationship after he was placed at the bottom of the depth chart behind Sam Darnold and PJ Walker.

Before Mayfield’s arrival, the Rams only had Bryce Perkins and John Wolford on the 53-man roster and with Case Cookus on the practice squad. Wolford started two games, both losses, and had 390 yards, one touchdown pass and three interceptions. For his part, Perkins did it once and completed 19 of 34 throws for 161 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.

Mayfield started six games for the Panthers and the team went 1-5 in them. In starts he had 1,158 yards, four touchdown passes, six interceptions and completed 105 of the 186 passes he attempted.

For life, the Oklahoma graduate has participated in 67 games and goes 30-35 as a starter with 15,438 yards, 98 touchdown passes and 62 interceptions after completing 1,304 of the 2,130 passes attempted.
