Bad news for Slavia! The expert warns that he will not return to the extra league in the next five years

When Duda mentions Slavia, he does not forget to mention the fact that when the club had a financially strong owner, he should have used everything and built a stadium in Vršovice. “That didn’t happen and Slavia misses the stadium a lot. I always remember that when I see the Slavia football stadium. At the same time, there is room for a sports complex,” says the current skills coach.

According to Duda, Slavia’s current stumbling in the hockey Chance League can be a source of regret not only for the team, but also for its city rival – Sparta. “The derby is definitely missing in the extra league,” thinks the former striker. He claims that even though Slavia is missing from the elite, representatives are still growing up in it. of the state will leave and A’s team will be beaten,” says Duda, who is convinced that the arrival of a financially strong partner would save the club. “He needs five hundred, sixty million for the A to be TOP.”

Even though Duda tries to be optimistic about the future, Martin Kézr, the other guest in the Příklep studio, describes the harsh reality. “Slavia will not be asking for promotion in the next five years. But he’s not necessarily last in Chance’s league. In this season, however, the task for Slavia is not to get into trouble at the bottom and to play, for example, the pre-round of the playoffs,” he sets more realistic tasks for the Prague team.

The talk also comes to the comparison of Slavia and Sparta. Both teams have played in the luxurious O2 Arena over the years. A modern stand is the key to more visits. “Look at how many people go to the Slavia soccer match. The hockey players were in the O2 Arena and now the fans have to go to the old hall,” reflects Duda.

According to Duda, Sparta managed the marketing better in connection with the O2 Arena. “She gave it more of an edge. Now when I come there for hockey, I really enjoy it. That deserves professionalism. That’s where I see the differences. You have to pay the right people,” he praises big rival Slavia.

Martin Kézr claims that hockey connoisseurs go to the old hall in Eden, for whom the place has a charm. “You can’t make a family trip to Slavia, the experience is not there. You get a welder, a hot dog, but you’re cold. The O2 Arena is a hall that will bring people and they will be happy to go there,” Kézr is convinced.

However, Radek Duda offers an example where even a comfortable environment does not have to decide. He has to go back in time to when he played for Freiburg in Germany. “There are often clubbers in the world. They stand behind the club not only when they are doing well, they breathe for the club and this makes Freiburg’s stadium worse than Slavia. The fans there are fanatics, crazy, there are a thousand of them on the road trips and they can easily drive ten hours across Germany,” recalls Duda. “Czech fans simply don’t have it like that,” he adds.
