Armenia was first in Departmental and Paradepartmental Sports Games – La Crónica del Quindío

The delegation from the capital of Quindío obtained 189 medals.

The Quindian capital was escorted by La Tebaida, Quimbaya, Montenegro, Circasia, Salento, Calarcá, Pijao, Buenavista, Filandia, Córdoba and Genoa.

Armenia dominated the first Departmental and Paradepartmental Sports Games Quindio 2022. The delegation obtained 189 medals, of which 91 were gold; 47, silvers and 51 were bronzes. From Indeportes they reported that of these metals, 10 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze were from Paralympic sports.

La Tebaida was second (19 golds, 46 silvers and 30 bronzes); Quimbaya, third, (14 gold, 14 silver and 8 bronze); Montenegro, fourth (12 gold, 10 silver and 13 bronze); Circassia, fifth (9 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze); Salento, sixth (5 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze); Calarcá, seventh (3 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze); Pijao, eighth (2 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze); Buenavista, ninth (2 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze); Filandia, tenth (1 gold, 1 silver and 6 bronzes); Córdoba, eleven (1 bronze), and Genoa, twelve, without medals.

Good reception

435 medals were awarded (158 gold, 143 silver and 134 bronze), of which 24 were for Paralympic sports (14 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze).”, reported Fernando Panesomanager of Indeportes, when socializing the jousting report.

$800 million were invested in the contest, which had not been held for 20 years. The competition will be held every 2 years, as stated in Ordinance 026 of December 18, 2020.
