LAt that time it looked like a one-sided World Cup final with a predictable outcome. Argentina dominated France and led 2-0 until the 80th minute. From that moment on, a unique drama unfolded. France equalized, both teams scored in extra time, and finally Argentina won 4-2 on penalties and are world champions for the third time. It’s the crowning glory of Lionel Messi’s career, scoring twice in regular time and then on penalties. Reactions to the finale:
