Altuve sneaked into the MLB first team

The Venezuelan José Altuve, figure of the Houston Astrosreceived popular support and for the first time in his career managed to position himself as the second baseman of the All-MLB First Team.

“Astroboy” returned to hit over .300 for the first time since 2018. He also hit 28 home runs, 12 of them leading off, 39 doubles, drove in 57 runs and scored 103 runs.

Thanks to his offensive contribution in 2022, “The Little Giant”, in addition to accumulating his eighth invitation to the All-Star Game, won the sixth Silver Slugger of his career.

To crown his season, the Venezuelan waiter was crowned champion of the “Fall Classic” for the second time in his career and the first time since the sign-stealing scandal that shook the MLB.

Additionally, Altuve was co-winner, along with Luis Arráez, American League batting champion, of the Luis Aparicio Award, given to the most outstanding Venezuelan baseball player in the “Big Top.”

Currently, after the lifting of the veto that weighed on Navegantes del Magallanes, the Creole hopes to receive the go-ahead to re-dress the uniform of the “Turkish ship” in the current season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) in favor of arrive with rhythm to the World Baseball Classic, scheduled for March 2023.
