Alimerka Oviedo Baloncesto comes out of relegation after a solid victory against Ourense (75-58)

Alimerka Oviedo Baloncesto prevailed (75-58) this afternoon against Ourense at the Pumarín sports center in a match that was resolved in the second half, driven by a great performance by Pruitt, who finished the match with 23 points. This is the fourth victory in the last five days (the four it has been in the twelve days played), thanks to what comes out of the relegation places.

The Blues started the duel against the Galician team well, but a bad second quarter placed them behind on the scoreboard at halftime (33-37). But after leaving the locker room, Trifón Poch’s men turned the game upside down, pressing in defense, running and, above all, increasing their success in the outside shot. The good performance was accompanied by the public in Pumarín, who finally enjoyed their team after a very tough start due to the accumulation of injuries and which resulted in seven straight defeats.

The OCB will play at home again on Thursday (8:30 p.m.) against Alicante, a difficult rival, from the top of the table against whom they will try to continue putting land in the middle with the red zone of the classification. The victory against Ourense also has double value because it is, as the table stands now, a possible rival in the fight for permanence.
