Alicante challenges Leyma – The Opinion of A Coruña

Leyma Básquet Coruña receives Alicante this afternoon (8:30 p.m.) at the Palace with their sights set on achieving another victory after the defeat last week on the bottom team’s court. The orange team fell in Oviedo and needs to get back on track with victories to reach the top of the table.

The Leyma coach, Diego Epifanio, predicted an even match at the Palace. “It’s going to be a game that will demand a lot from us because they come with a lot of confidence, they come from beating Estudiantes in a game that they started losing and in the end they were able to come back and save a big difference that they had at the beginning of the game” , indicated the orange coach.

Epifanio also highlighted the depth of the Alicante squad and the possibilities offered by its players. “It is a team that is very well built. The point guards press all over the court, they have a lot of rhythm, they have two exceptional players in the 2 position, their two 3s have the necessary versatility to punish from the perimeter, to punish from the low post and to punish from the offensive rebound . His four interiors are having a great season and his two 5s have many records that help his team a lot. They are going to demand a lot from us and they are going to force us to have a lot of concentration during all the minutes of the game”, assured the Leyma coach.

Diego Epifanio stressed that they will need a great version to achieve a victory this afternoon. “You have to try to find confidence in our defensive game, in the rebound to be able to run, and then try to play our concepts judiciously, without turning the ball over and hold on to a team that comes with very positive energy and is also a team that demands you a lot,” he said.
