SANTIAGO.- The Águilas Cibaeñas loaned infielder and outfielder Eguy Rosario to the Cangrejeros de Santurce team of the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball League, Angel Ovalles, Baseball Operations Manager, reported here.

“In this circuit, he will be able to comply with the work plan that his organization had drawn up for the winter period, a project that was made impossible with the Eagles due to the presence of other players,” explained Ovalles, in an informative note from the Cibaeño team.

Rosario, a prospect for the San Diego Padres organization, participated this season in 11 games in the regular round of the Dominican League, finishing with a batting average of .242 (33-8).

Between his drives he doubled, drove in a run, drew three walks, struck out seven times and finished with two stolen bases in three attempts. His OBP was .306, SLG .273 and OPS .578.

Rosario was acquired by the Águilas Cibaeñas in February 2022 through a trade with the Toros del Este, who received utility Robel García.
