Moroccan player Achrafi Hakimi did a penguin celebration after hitting a panenka kick that eliminated Spain in the round of 16 World Cup 2022Wednesday (7/12) early morning WIB.
Hakimi was the decider for Morocco’s victory over Spain in a penalty shootout which ended with a score of 3-0. The Paris Saint-Germain player took a harvest kick that tricked La Furia Roja goalkeeper, Unai Simon.
Previously three Spanish penalty takers failed to carry out their duties. Pablo Sarabia’s execution hit the goalpost while Carlos Soler and Sergio Busquets’ kicks were countered by goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.

Hakimi did not immediately run after breaking into Unai Simon’s goal. Instead, he showed off a penguin-like celebration when facing his teammates running towards him.
Hakimi’s celebration went viral on social media. Reporting from football.newz, Hakimi’s penguin celebration is thought to be like a message to coach Luis Enrique who did not call Sergio Ramos.
Hakimi was used to celebrating like a penguin walking with Ramos.
Ramos is Hakimi’s teammate at PSG. The former captain of Real Madrid and the Spanish national team was forgotten by Enrique despite showing good performances with Les Parisiens.
Ramos, who is now 36 years old, is one of the most successful players ever to defend Spain. The collector of 180 caps brought Spain to win the Euro twice in 2008 and 2012 and once to win the World Cup in 2010.
