On the final day of the Judo Grand Slam (GS) Tokyo Tournament, a total of 8 classes for men and women were held at the Tokyo Gymnasium on the 4th. . After winning the world championship in October, he met the selection criteria of the All Japan Judo Federation, and was selected as a representative of the same championship (Doha) in May next year.

Joshiro Maruyama, second in the world championships, won the men’s 66-kg class, and Hayato Kondo was second in the 60-kg class. In the over-100 kilogram class, Aya Ota defeated last year’s world No. 1 Shin Kageura in the final.

In the women’s event, Tokyo Olympic champion Teru Sone won the 78-kg class, and Naori Hamada of the 78-kg class lost to Rika Takayama by ippon in the final.
