The former Brazilian coach, Tite, has suffered a serious incident in Rio de Janeiro while walking with his wife in the Barra de Tijuca neighborhood, on the outskirts of the city. According to ‘O Globo’, a thief assaulted the coach and stole the chain that he wore around his neck.

Beyond the robbery itself, the curious thing about the robbery (Rio is one of the cities with the highest common crime rate in the entire country) is that the assailant took advantage of the moment to reproach him for the poor result obtained by Brazil in the World Cup from Qatar. The ‘canarinha’ was eliminated by Croatia in the quarterfinals on penalties, which led to the resignation of Tite.

Despite the great fright suffered, neither Tite nor his wife have decided to report the robbery, according to the Brazilian police. A witness tried to stop the assailant, but he immediately fled on his bicycle.

Tite is taking a few days off while he studies the possible offers he has for the future, while the CBF itself is also preparing the casting of coaches to decide who can take over from now on.
