1st Edition of the “Metropolitan Olympics” in Bari: opening ceremony in Noicattaro

Saturday 10 December, at 9:30, in the “Sandro Pertini” Sports Hall in Noicattaro (via Umberto Terracini – SP117) will be held there opening ceremony of the 1st edition of the “Metropolitan Olympics” promoted by the Metropolitan City of Bari and with the patronage of the regional CONI.

They will intervene Joseph Patron metropolitan councilor delegated to Sport and the president of CONI Puglia Angelo Giliberto as well as athletes, representatives of municipal administrations and sports associations.

Participate in the 1st Edition of the “Metropolitan Olympics 20 metropolitan municipalities, 68 amateur sports associations, around 1,000 athletes aged between 13 and 14 who will compete in over 200 competitions and 15 disciplines.

The day of celebration will open with the performance of the Fanfare of the 7th Bersaglieri Regiment, which will be followed by a series of sports performances: figure skating with 70 athletes from the ASD Christal including European and national medalists who will present an excerpt from the Notre Dame show and more l’ASD Cassandrathen baseball with the Amateur sports team Baseball Club Bari Warriors and rhythmic gymnastics with a regional show group Italian Gymnastics Federation and Puglia Regional Committee and, again, lots of music and entertainment, as well as the presence of young athletes.

From the afternoon of Saturday 10 tournaments will start until Friday 16th December in the disciplines of athletics, baseball, basketball, A9 football, A5 football, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, judo, karate, handball, volleyball, skating, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, which will take place within the sports facilities of the participating Municipalities (Adelfia, Altamura, Bari, Capurso, Casamassima, Cassano delle Murge, Cellamare, Corato, Gravina in Puglia, Locorotondo, Modugno, Mola di Bari, Monopoli, Noicattaro, Palo del Colle, Sammichele di Bari, Sannicandro di Bari, Terlizzi, Triggiano, Turi).
