Friday evening, in the Belvedere room, association leaders and their members gathered for the awards ceremony. An appointment that had not taken place for two years.
Sixty-six athletes, including fifty young people, and twenty-six volunteers were honored by the municipality. “We celebrate the values of commitment, self-sacrifice and a taste for effort, whether you are a sportsman or a committed volunteer, acting in the shadows, you bring to Yffiniac that extra soul essential to its dynamism”underlines Kathy Rivière, assistant to the associative life and to the sports.
The long-term commitments of some recipients are remarkable: forty years for Jacky Chevalier and Henri Piéto on the La Gare neighborhood committee; for Léontine and Francis Guernion, Lucienne and Lucien Coquio within the Racing Society.
On the sports side, many champions have recently had the honors of the podiums: Lyse Versmisse and Thierry Berthez in judo and Léo Le Bougeant in BMX.
