Witan Praised by Coach Trencin and Opponents After Scored Goal in Slovak League

Witan Sulaeman get compliments from coach AS Trencin and Liptovsky Mikulas after becoming the team’s hero by scoring the equalizer in the Slovak League.

Witan Sulaeman scored his first goal in the Slovak League this season as well as saved AS Trencin from defeat against Liptovsky Mikulas at Futbalovy Stadium, Poprad, Saturday (5/11).

The Indonesian national team player managed to score a 1-1 equalizer in the 83rd minute after continuing a mature pass from Samuel Kozlovsky.

After the match, Witan received praise from the two coaches who competed. AS coach Trencin Marian Zimen said the only positive thing his team got in the match was Witan Sulaeman’s equalizer.

“The only positive thing was the equaliser,” said Marien Zimen, who was disappointed that his team only got a draw, quoted from AS Trencin’s Facebook page.

Liptovsky coach Mikulas Jozef Kostelnik also praised Witan who managed to steal a goal when Trencin barely had a chance in the match.

“Trencin had almost no chances, except for that goal,” said Jozef Kostelnik.

In this match Witan came on for Matu Kmet in the 68th minute. The opportunity given by the coach was not wasted by Witan on the field.

The Palu-born player successfully scored the equalizer in the 83rd minute. The goal was created thanks to feedback from Samuel Kozlovsky.

Trencin actually had a chance to win through a penalty obtained in the final minutes of the match. However, unfortunately Rastislav Vaclavik’s shot could still be thwarted by Michal Kukucha.

This result makes Trencin stuck in sixth place in the Fortuna League standings with a collection of 20 points. While Liptovsky Mikulas did not move from the bottom of the standings with nine points.
