“We had to take some measures that saved the club from ruin and now the club is on the upswing,” Laporta told Spanish news agency EFE. “But still, according to the league’s fair play rules, we can’t sign anyone. We and some other clubs are trying to convince La Liga to be more flexible and allow us other interpretations that can make Barcelona even stronger,” he said.
