What face will OM’s winter transfer window have?

After three months of hellish pace, the calendar is taking a break but the Marseille leaders do not intend to stop: the transfer window is approaching, an exercise still very active for President Pablo Longoria. After an eventful summer, where OM changed the coach and a large part of the team, winter promises to be less frenetic but hectic nonetheless.

The idea is therefore to strengthen first in this sector, especially as the departure of Gerson is expected. The player has been in Brazil since last weekend, and negotiations are continuing between OM and Flamengo, not yet completely agreeing on the amount of the transaction. The profile sought is not that of a pure 9, not necessarily ideal for the football of Igor Tudor, but rather that of offensive players capable of evolving a notch behind. Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi is still on the list, but he is almost 30 years old and is not the only player being watched by Longoria and his director of football Javier Ribalta.

In central defense, the Marseille leaders hope to be able to take advantage of the break to offer Éric Bailly a real preparation which will allow him to finally chain the matches. So far, the Ivorian has only been able to play 9 matches with OM, only two of which are complete. If his physical condition did not improve, an arrival in this sector would not be excluded.
