Volleyball – Berlin without Trinidad – Sport

Volleyball champion Berlin Recycling Volleys will have to do without Angel Trinidad in the coming weeks. The 29-year-old captain suffered a metacarpal fracture in the 3-1 defeat in the Champions League game at Halkbank Ankara and will be out for six to eight weeks. The Spaniard, who broke his little finger on his right hand last week, will undergo surgery on Monday. “We need a replacement for such a long period of time in this position, just for a certain level of training. We have already sounded out the market and hope to be able to present a temporary solution as early as next week,” said Volleys Managing Director Kaweh Niroomand before the top Game in the Bundesliga against pursuers Powervolleys Düren on Saturday (8 p.m.). Johannes Tille will take on the role of setter for second place. The 25-year-old international has already integrated well into the team in Ankara, but cannot handle the load as a setter alone until the end of the year, which is why Volleys are looking for a replacement.
