Volleyball – Berlin finds substitute players – sport

The BR Volleys have found a replacement for their injured captain Angel Trinidad: Arash Dosanjh, setter for the Australian national team, will help out with the Berliners and is already ready for action in the cup quarter-finals against SVG Lüneburg on Thursday. The 26-year-old landed in the capital on Monday and signed a contract with the leaders of the Volleyball Bundesliga until the end of January. “I’m very happy to be here and to have this opportunity. The BR Volleys are a very interesting club with great ambitions, which I’ve always followed because of the history of Australian players,” said Dosanjh upon his arrival in Berlin. The signing became necessary because captain and setter Angel Trinidad suffered a metacarpal fracture in the Champions League match in Ankara. The 29-year-old Spaniard underwent successful surgery on Monday but will be out for at least six weeks.
