Unusual > Rune (who wants to imitate Djokovic): “My trainer says that a Ferrari without fuel is useless. He’s right. So I now pay much more attention to what I eat”

In a short interview given to The Revelant Tennis, Holger Rune admits that he understood that to become a great champion you had to watch your diet. We almost think we hear a certain Novak Djokovic.

“It is important to eat well and get enough sleep during the season. Because if I don’t have energy, the engine will burn. I have a nutrition plan so I know I have what I need. We found out that I wasn’t getting half the sugar and salt I need for games, which is why I had bouts of fatigue and cramps. I really had no idea things like that could make such a difference. My coach says a Ferrari without fuel is useless. He is right. So I now pay much more attention to what I eat even though I love pepperoni pizza and ice cream.”
