In Pasto, the children’s basketball tournament is underway with the aim of promoting this sports discipline and making the talents of the capital municipality known.
The event, which takes place at the Sergio Antonio Ruano Coliseum, has the participation of nine teams in the women’s branch, with children born between 2011, 2012 and 2013, while in the men’s division there are 13 teams with the participation of players born in in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
The organizers of the tournament pointed out that the representatives of Pasto Deporte, Instituto Champagnat, Fordesam – Sandoná, -Panteritas, Phoenix and Los Pastos will participate in the female children’s category. In youth there is the Pasto Deporte, Panthers and Centaurs contest.
In the children’s male branch there will be the participation of the teams of Pasto Deporte, Instituto Champagnat, Phoenix, Javeriano A, Javeriano B, Panteras and Los Pastos.
In youth there is the presence of the teams of Pasto Deporte, Instituto Champagnat, Javeriano and Centauros A and B.
The competition seeks to promote the sport of the basket in the capital of Nariño with the aim of making known the new basketball talents of the capital municipality, while promoting the good use of free time among young residents in this town.
It should be noted that at the start of the tournament there were intense encounters between the participating teams.
Under the technical direction of Claude Toulliou Zambrano, the Javeriano team made up of Nicolás Molina Guzmán, Andrés Felipe Hidalgo Delgado, Isaac Villota Caicedo, Daniel Hernando Molina Guzmán, Santiago Córdoba Villota, Nicolás Fajardo Herrera, Manuel Andrés Rosero Moncayo, Santiago Galvis Mora and José David Rosero Rosas, participates in the tournament organized by Pasto Deporte.
