This Sunday, November 27, at the Cecile Nowak dojo in Saint-Marcel, the Judo club organized its 4th edition of the youth tournament.
And we can say that it was a success!
A total of 410 participants had registered in the four possible categories, youngest and minimal, girls and boys.
Families had largely made the trip to come and encourage their judokas since the dojo, which can accommodate 450 seats, was “crammed” on this Sunday in November.
The refreshment area at the entrance to the building was also a great success: “we haven’t stopped all day, we are lucky despite this crowd to have a calm, smiling and courteous public that we enjoy to serve” testified the volunteer team in charge of the refreshment bar.
The Mayor of Saint-Marcel Raymond Burdin, who came accompanied by his assistant in charge of sports Nathalie Couturier, emphasized the remarkable organization: “there are so many people that I had to park near the church” he joked before continuing “congratulations to the organizers, it’s a more than successful event! »
Frédéric Badet, president of the Saône et Loire judo committee and Julien Maugard, Federal technical adviser of the FFJDA* also congratulated the organization of this day in a strong way.
“This tournament was a great day of judo for the young Judokas” remarked the latter.
Ahead of the youth competition, this Sunday, the competitions for young referees and sports commissioners were held in parallel.
Here is the podium of these competitions:
Young Stewards Ranking:
1st Quentin GIRARDOT Judo Club St Marcel
2e Eva CHABERT – AD71
3e Jolan SPINOUX COLLECT
Young Referees Ranking:
1st Clarisse CARILLON – Judo Club CHALON
2e Hugo Piejak AD71
3e David TRONTIN- AD71
To bring this day to life, 42 volunteers from the Saint-Marcel club and 35 sports officials worked hand in hand.
A more than successful event therefore for the biggest tournament in Bourgogne Franche Comté, certainly the most popular in the region thanks to its quality of organization but also to the welcome reserved for future athletes whatever their levels.
