The third gold of the Russian Federation championship in judo for the Yakut national team! — SakhaLife

Polina Iudina from Nyurbinsky ulus won the gold medal of the Russian championship among judokas under 21 years old. In the final, she won a clear victory over the European champion in sambo, reports YSIA.

Polina Iudina, a student of the Nyurbinskaya Youth Sports School, competed in the weight class up to 78 kg on the final day of the Russian championship in Krasnoyarsk. She managed to defeat Alisa Isakova from Krasnodar in the first round, then Sofia Svyatskaya from Moscow.

In the semifinals, the Yakut woman managed to win the fight against another representative of the country’s capital, Ekaterina Parfenova. The last meeting was tense when Polina Iudina faced off against the European champion in sambo wrestling Insanat Zairbekova, who represented Moscow. The opponent held the reception, but the Yakutian judoka fought him off, and immediately Zairbekova landed her head on the tatami, which meant victory for the Nyurba judoist.

Polina Iudina won the gold medal of the Russian junior championship. The first coach of the athlete is Eduard Solovyov.

Recall that earlier the first place in the same competition was taken by the Yakutian Karina Efimova from Yakutsk (52 kg), and Sayyyna Petrova from Namsky ulus (44 kg) became the bronze owner. All three athletes of the Yakutia national team, led by head coach Damdindorzh Gombodorzh, received awards.
