The construction site of the indoor hall of the archery section of the Sentinel (1.8 million budget), whose delivery is scheduled for next spring, is taking a decisive turn and this is not going unnoticed rue Pasteur.

The members of the club mentioned it during the last general meeting at the clubhouse. A new bureau was elected, confirming François Degrange as president, Clarisse Prado as secretary and Éric Kaczmareck as treasurer.

All of the one hundred and seventy licensees (out of the eight hundred that make up the Omnisports Sentinel) are still pursuing their harvest of titles, as since the creation of the club in September 1994, and therefore retain their place among the ten best French clubs. . But for them, it’s time for change. “Let’s not hide it, we are at a crossroads, underlines François Degrange. We must change our status and dust off our way of operating. This will be the objective of my mandate this year. Our section has a budget of approximately 87,000 €, 60% of which goes into travel expenses. The administrative management of a club like ours is similar to that of a big company, but which would have very small means.

From Yonne to Egypt, a farmer from Brienon-sur-Armançon committed to COP 27

Referring to the Paris Olympic Games in 2024, for which its infrastructure will serve as a preparation center, François Degrange wants to review the functioning of its structure and make its activities grow. By simplifying, he hopes, the formalities with the Sentinelle omnisports, then by developing collaboration with local companies, “because despite our past and present sports titles at national and European level, we remain a minor sport for private partners here”. As a community club, as he likes to say, the president hopes to involve all businesses in the area and anticipate progressive and controlled development.
