Sparta promised to pay for the damaged dressing room right after the match. No one spoke to us, sounds from Pilsen | Football | Sports | Prague Gossip

On Monday, we informed our readers about the behavior of Sparta Prague players, who vandalized the equipment of the dressing room after the win at the Pilsen stadium. It was the Pilsen club that published photos of the vandalized guest cabin after the match. The spokesperson of Sparta Prague Ondřej Kasík told our editors that he does not know the reasons that led the representative of Viktoria Plzeň to publish the photos. According to Kasík, the representatives of both clubs resolved the situation between themselves right after the match and Sparta promised to pay for the damage. However, according to spokesperson Viktoria Plzeň, this is not true.

Instead of the result of the match, they are talking about the destroyed equipment of the stadium

Sparta took home three points from Saturday’s match at the Pilsen Viktoria stadium with a 1:0 win, but they did not make a good name for themselves in the west of Bohemia. More than the result of the match, which ended Pilsen’s invincibility, there is more talk about the damage caused in the stadium by the fans, but also by Sparta’s players. The management of the West Bohemian club complained about their behavior on their website.

According to Viktoria, there was damage to property in the away fans’ sector, who deliberately lit seats and played with fire inside the stadium, especially in the toilets. Firefighters extinguished the flames. “The interior of the stadium was also damaged, where radiators, sinks and other sanitary equipment in the toilet areas were torn off. At the moment, the camera footage is being evaluated and the damage tallied, which the club will subsequently recover.” describes FC Viktorie.

The biggest surprise awaited Pilsen in the visitors’ locker room. “We noticed damaged plaster, a broken window and torn ceiling soffits. We understand that the visitors were celebrating the win, but these facts are beyond the pale and should definitely not happen. During the current season, we played a number of big and heated matches, however, we noticed damage to the dressing room equipment for the very first time, in our opinion, this must not happen and it does not belong in football.” stated the club.

The matches of the Prague teams at the Pilsen stadium have recently been in the spirit of vandalism by the visiting club. The fans are mostly to blame, for which, for example, Slavia had to pay a fine of a quarter of a million crowns this year. But this time…

“When public communication from Pilsen comes later, I don’t want to evaluate it, it’s the decision of the other club”

Sparta has already commented on the incident. “I don’t know the exact reasons that led Pilsen to publish the photos. The club representatives resolved the situation for us immediately on Saturday evening after the match with Pilsen representatives. We drew attention to the fact that there was damage to the guest cabin, with the fact that we are ready to pay for the calculated damage,” the spokesperson of AC Sparta Praha stated for the editors of Drbna Ondřej Kasík.

“When public communication from Pilsen comes afterwards, I don’t want to evaluate it, it’s the other club’s decision,” he added.

However, this refutes the statement of Viktoria Plzeň spokesman Václav Hanzlík. “I don’t need to elaborate on the matter further and comment, but we reject the claim that anyone told us anything after the match,” wrote to our editors Vaclav Hanzlík.

This is no fancy Clash of the Stars, says Fenin after entering the world of MMA

Martin Fenin is a thirty-five-year-old former Czech professional footballer and national team striker. At the club level, he drew attention to himself mainly in the Bundesliga outfit Frankfurt, where he played ninety matches and scored fourteen goals. At the Czech…

“Those who caused it will participate in paying for the damage”

According to Ondřej Kasík, the football booth is a place where emotions often swirl. “The place you would look for emotion is in the sports cabin. It is clear that emotions occur not only in football, but in general in the sports environment, for example during a heavy defeat or during critical situations such as the exclusion or, on the contrary, the non-exclusion of a player.” a spokesperson for Sparta told our editors and added that, according to him, minor damages of a similar nature occur from time to time and, according to him, it is not a purely football matter.

At the same time, Kasík stated that AC Sparta Prague is ready to pay the calculated damage. “Those who caused it will share in paying for the damage,” he explained.

Sparta fans also commented on the destroyed parts of the stadium. “Someone demolishes the opponent again,” said another debater, alluding to the intervention of Pilsen forward Tomáš Choré, who headed a Prague player and later apologized for being blinded by the spotlight and hitting the opponent instead of the ball.

Different region, different manners

Even among our football teams, however, we can find order-loving representatives. For example, Silesian FC Opava came up with the #procistyfotbal project. After every away game played, the players clean up after themselves. They sort the waste and lead their fans to the same idea.

Sparta itself has experience with respectful clubs. When they welcomed the Norwegian club Viking Stavanger this year, the spectators did not see a single goal. But everyone who looked into the sector of the visiting team remained in awe. In addition to flags to support their club, the fans also brought garbage bags and cleaned up after themselves in an exemplary manner.
