The 39-year-old Vlasic, a former top high jumper, gave birth to their son in a hospital in Split at 8.35 am on Tuesday. Mondo is 53 centimeters tall and weighs 4.5 kilograms.
The proud parents have now shared a photo of them with their son in their arms for the first time. “Born on mom’s birthday, the best gift ever,” they write on Instagram.

Van Gucht and Vlasic got married in May this year and also shared the happy news that they were expecting their first child together. Since then, the couple has been commuting between Belgium and Croatia, but they spent most of the summer in Dalmatia. That is the birthplace of the former top athlete.
